Mid Cheshire Rail Users Assocation are committed to a policy of protecting the rights and privacy of individuals.
The Association needs to collect and use certain types of Data in order to carry on our work. The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) governs the use of information about people (personal data). Personal data is held on computer and in a manual file and includes email, minutes of meetings, and photographs.
For the purpose of administrating the aims of the Association, the Mid Cheshire Rail Users Association holds the following personal information, personally supplied by its members and supporters: Name, address, phone number, email address, contact preferences (by post or electronic) for the receipt of newsletters, notices of General Meetings and other information of legitimate interest to its members and supporters.
Data Storage Information and records are stored securely and only accessible to Officers of the Association. The information is not shared with any other body unless there is a legal duty to do so. The Freedom of Information Act 2000 does not apply to the Mid Cheshire Rail Users Association. The Mid Cheshire Rail Users Association intends to ensure that personal information is treated lawfully and correctly.
